![]() ![]() ![]() I have about 5000 feeds to import using an OPML file. Here are some initial observations as compared to RSSOwl, which is my default RSS reader: I was reminded about this after reading a GHacks article mentioning that he used QuiteRSS as his default RSS Reader. Taking another look at this since some time has passed and to see if any improvements were implemented. Also, this app is really large compared to other RSS readers even non-portable ones. The inability to delete feed groups alone is reason enough to not use this. I tried to delete a group of feeds and found it wasn't possible from the interface, although single feeds can be deleted. Was unable to do anything on the PC for several minutes. Imported over 300 feeds and the CPU was at 94% with memory about 30MB. Userfriendly wrote:Updated to v0.11.0 since last mentioned. However since it looks like QuiteRSS is being actively developed, I'll keep track of it because I like how it looks. So far only GreatNews, OwlRSS, and FeedDemon are the one's I tested that can handle hundreds of feeds smoothly. Kinda weird when its advertized to be "Quite fast". GreatNews on the other hand was lightning quick. I imported my opml with 150 feeds and the gui was unresponsive a couple minutes while it tried to update all the feeds. Tried QuiteRSS and it looks nice but it seems a little large at 40MB relative to its features. ![]() I'm leaning towards GreatNews, it's full featured and fast. ![]() ![]() Here’s how to get a Twitch Sub as a member of Twitch Prime for FREE. If you are a subscriber of the channel, your vote is doubled.Īside from this, being a member of Twitch Prime nets you a bunch of free in-game items, for games such as GTA Online, FIFA 20, Apex Legends, World of Tanks, and Rainbow Six Siege. When Hyper Scape is streamed, players have the chance to vote throughout the match for what in-game modifier will next be enabled. While being a member of Twitch Prime or a subscriber to a channel does not increase your chance of accessing a drop, they do offer benefits for the streamer-friendly game. The only way to gain access aside from being a top YouTuber/streamer is to watch these streamers on Twitch in the hope you are one of the lucky few to randomly chosen to be given a beta key. Hyper Scape is a free-to-play Battle Royale game currently in closed beta. Towards the end of the interviews, Jennings said that the team wanted to create a game that "didn't feel like any battle royale on the market." From what we've played so far, Ubisoft is poised to deliver if it can improve the feel of weapons.Just as everyone thought the Battle Royale genre was slowly dwindling down, Ubisoft’s latest game, Hyper Scape, exploded onto the scene. Unlike Call of Duty: Warzone or PUBG, Hyper Scape offers a new feeling because of the verticality and fast-paced gameplay. Whenever a new battle royale game is announced, many gamers are skeptical because we've seen so many entries in recent years. Since the title is already 60 FPS on consoles, it's probably going to feature better visuals and a higher resolution on the upcoming machines. It's unclear what the resolution will be on Xbox One X, but when asked about the Xbox Series X, Jennings said that the team was having conversations about next-generation consoles, but hadn't solidified any plans. It supports 100 players and the team promised 60 frames per second (FPS) performance on consoles. Currently, the open beta of Hyper Scape doesn’t offer a premium option, but what it does offer is the ability to unlock rewards if you have a twitch prime subscription. Hyper Scape features a 1 kilometer (km) by 1 km map, which is truly massive. Hyper Scape has continued to follow the modern freemium road with a seasonal battle pass and challenge system. However, since the title is still very early in development, it won't be available in the technical tests. Guyot confirmed that this was a design pillar that was definitely in the pipeline. Cross-play is also incredibly important to the Hyper Scape team and after they make sure that the game is built upon a solid backbone, the feature will be introduced to the game. It won't be a crisis unlike many other battle royale games that seem like they don't take this into account from the beginning. Ubisoft also promised to introduce strong anti-cheat measures from the beginning since the title is based on Rainbox Six Siege. This seems like a huge waste of potential given the emphasis on a virtual world with major events changing up how you play. The concept of Hacks was intriguing, but most of them functioned like fairly standard abilities, with only the Wall ability providing anything interesting. Using the different weapons, it was hard to tell exactly how powerful everything was or even whether I was doing damage. ![]() The main issue is the gunplay, which feels very weak. The movement feels nice, as bouncing around the various rooftops provides a sense of agility and constant momentum which aids the whole 'you're on the run' aspect of battle royale. It utilizes existing Ubisoft technology in unique ways to deliver a massive battle royale experience that feels a lot like Titanfall.Īnother one of our writers, Samuel Tolbert, played Hyper Scape with me and said the following after the gameplay session. While both are using the Anvil engine, they're different branches so a lot of customization went into crafting the shooter. ![]() Hyper Scape is based on the Rainbow Six Siege engine when it comes to shooting, and uses Assassin's Creed technology to render the massive open-world map. From my understanding, there won't be any microtransactions that give players an unfair advantage. This is how Ubisoft plans to financially support the game for years. From our conversation with Pope, the game will feature cosmetic-only microtransactions that you'll be able to purchase from the in-game store. ![]() There's also going to be a paid, possibly 100-tier Battle Pass, that features even more unlocks. Source: Ubisoft (Image credit: Source: Ubisoft)Įach season of Hyper Scape will feature a free 30-tier Battle Pass. ![]() ![]() I read through many, many stories for this review, some in full and some only partially, and there were some that had problematic elements but I initially didn’t write off the whole app because I saw it as more of a marketplace or repository for these stories (like Amazon or a fanfiction website) and didn’t think it could be wholly judged based on problems with some of the stories. What’s wrong with this app? There are a lot of problems with this app, but the most serious problem is that it promotes very unhealthy and dangerous attitudes toward abuse and sexual assault. The app also has some other features but the one most relevant to the rest of this review is the quests feature, where you can get rewards (in-game currency for unlocking more chapters, buying outfits for your characters and making the choices you want) for certain tasks such as reading chapters of certain books. Most of the stories, from what I can tell, contain sexually explicit written scenes (though no nude images are displayed) and from my research it seems many if not all of them are based on actual published romance/erotic novels. ![]() The target audience for this app is women who are attracted to men (the character you play is almost always a woman and your love interest is almost always a man). Whether these choices actually impact the endings of the stories or other important plot points I haven’t been able to figure out. At some points throughout the stories you can make choices that affect your characters’ dialog or actions and, consequently, how other characters react to them. What is this app? Moments: Choose Your Story is an interactive fiction app where you play through various storylines (which are basically like romance novels) and features character avatars, backdrops and music with the written dialog and descriptions that make up each story. TL DR VERSION: This app romanticizes verbal, physical and sexual abuse. This review will also mention sex, abuse and rape. ![]() Important Note/Content Warning: This app is rated 17+ on the App Store and includes sexually explicit content and content about abuse and rape. I wasn’t planning on writing a review for this app for at least a few more days as I was desperately trying to save up enough free diamonds to finish the one story on there I was actually interested in, but in the course of that I came upon something that pivoted my whole view of the app, and that one story isn’t really relevant anymore. This game is pretty much what you see in the ad, but it’s got a whole lot of problems. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You shall pay all applicable taxes relating to use of the Services through your account.ĪSTROGRAPH.COM endeavors to offer you competitive prices on current selections. But at one moment I realized that losing is not fun so I tried to find a way to win this game. At first, I don't know what teamwork is, just want to have fun with the game. You have to think about your teammates and trust each other to get the job done. ![]() It's not a game where you can just go off on your own and expect to be good at the game. The game rewards players who communicate and work together. One thing I appreciate about Rainbow Six Siege is the emphasis on teamwork. For some reason, I feel that Rainbow six siege is not for kids to play by themselves because this game contains many violent contents and I don't think it's appropriate for younger players. I have been playing this game for almost 1800 hours and I think that these players who play this might be a little toxic and rude for new players but after several games, you will get used to it and those words won't bother you anymore. It is a 5v5 fps game so everything is possible in this gameplay. ![]() To be good at this game you need to communicate with teammates and play together to make good teamwork. You have to think about your approach and make sure you have a good strategy in place. It's not one of those games where you can just keep respawning and charging forward. It's so realistic that once you get shot in the head, you're done. Once you get shot in the head you will die constantly just like a normal human. It might be frustrating at the beginning in fact that you will die quickly as the game is realistic. It was a really good game but you will struggle with it at first because it is not an easy game to play, it is a tactical game that you are playing as an operator and each one of them has different equipment and utilities so you need to practice and find which operators you like. So, it is safe to say that you still have more than two weeks to complete the current Battle Pass and make further progress in the Ranked mode. This game is the first game that I downloaded when I got my first gaming laptop. Players will also see the result of Ranked 2.0 changes in the next season, as the beginning of Year 8 Season 1 will bring all the Alpha Packs and other cosmetic items that players have already earned in the current season of Ranked, something that was only limited to a single Charm prior to this.ĭespite its announcement on February 18, it will probably take a few weeks until the new season launches on live servers. Also, you can expect more updates on the Replay feature. The game also saw surprising balance changes as the developers touched on the speed and health of operators like Sledge and Mute after a long time.Ĭurrently, there are some features in Rainbow Six Siege that are supposed to receive more improvements in Year 8, including the Reputation system which is running in beta mode. Rainbow Six Siege received beefy content during Year 7, as the developers launched two new maps, four new operators, one new game mode, and some big gameplay changes such as Attacker Repick, Ranked 2.0, and a whole new recoil system for all weapons. The game is supposed to receive one new operator this season, but it is yet to be known whether it would be an attacker or a defender. It is yet to be seen what else we can expect to see in the first season of Year 8, as we don't know anything about the official roadmap for the next year.
